Most frequent questions (FAQ)

Can I arrive before 4:00 pm the day of arrival or leave later than 11:00 am the day of departure?

We want to offer you a beautiful experience during your stay with us. So our cleaning crew need every minute between 11:00 and 16:00 to prepare the cottage for your arrival. If you want to take advantage of the places before or after the established time, you just have to ask for an extra night and pay the additional fee.

Can I or a member of my family bring their pet?

No. Pets are allowed on the property or in the cottages. This also includes those that your guests would like to bring with them even if they do not stay with you for the night. Any tenant who goes against the policies could see his stay shortened without recourse and we reserve the right to execute the security deposit clause.

Can I smoke or vape in the cottage or on the property?

The rented cottages are officially non-smoking, it is forbidden to smoke any substance inside the cottage. You and your guests can smoke or vape outside the cottage away from doors and windows. Two sand containers are available for your butts. The first container is at the main entrance and the second on the patio. It is strictly forbidden to throw butts on the ground or in the lake.

Can we swim in the lake?

Yes, Lake-Duhamel is renowned for the quality of its water.

How is the shore of the property?

The property has been landscaped to meet the new environmental requirements in Quebec . The shoreline has been reforested while keeping a space to access the lake. The first 15 feet are sandy with a gradual slope of 0 to 5 feet in depth. Expect aquatic plants, this is a healthy lake.

Can we bring our own boat?

We have no jetty for boats on a trailer. Motorized boats of non-residents and short-term tenants are not allowed on Lake Duhamel. Any non-motorized boat or equipment must be washed before being used on Lake Duhamel according to the by-law of the city of Mont-Tremblant
